1. The title of this blog is the song I'm listening to. It's called "Feels Like Home" by Edwina Hayes. Go check that shiz out! ;D
2. Tomorrow is Uncle Kota's 13th birthday! Can't believe my little brother will be 13 and is an uncle to one little girl and soon to be another little girl (I hope lol). I'm planning on wrapping his gift today and giving it to him once I go and pick him up from school. He's gonna be stoked! Dakota, I love you Bug!
3. A lot of people are asking me how I told TC that I was pregnant. Keep in mind, I was shocked and far from excited about this when I found out since TC and I have only been together a short time so I didn't know how to react let alone tell him. BUT! I went up to his work to get something to eat. I had planned on telling him after he got off. He could tell something was wrong (and if you truly know me, you know that my face cannot hide ANYTHING like I want it too jeez). He asked me what was wrong and I told him not to worry about it right now and that I'd talk to him after he got off of work. I knew that was a bad idea to go up to his work because I knew my dang face couldn't hide what I needed to tell him so badly! But I DESPERATELY needed my chicken salad sub lol. Well I'm standing at the counter while he's ringing up my sub and he says, "babe you're worrying me." I told him to please not worry, that it could wait until he got off of work. He said, "are you leaving me?" I said, "hahaha OH YES! Because I hate your sticken guts and all." And of course I start crying after he said that. Then he asks, "you're pregnant aren't you?" I just stood there. Thank the Lord there was no one else in the sub shop or I would have been mortified! Lol! I just shook my head yes very discretely. His mouth just dropped to the floor, his eyes got real big, and he just kinda chuckled for a minute in disbelief. It was pretty funny. And then of course we went through 7 pregnancy tests over the weekend. 6 were positive and 1 was negative. I told him, "baby, there's no changing those 6 positives whether or not we had 1 negative." Lol!
4. I had a little bit of an accident last night. Ok more like a BIG accident but all is fine and baby is fine! I went to go find some ranch dressing in our pantry cabinets. Well I moved a bottle of vinegar from the second shelf not knowing it was holding up the very top shelf. And of course it all comes toppling down and lands right on my stomach! Can we say, "OUCH?!?!?!" TC took me to Urgent Care and everything looks fine. I just have a little bit of bruising on my stomach. But other than that, I am fine and the baby is fine. No bleeding. Daddy is a nervous wreck but other than that, all is good. Also, as I laid in the hospital bed, TC kept telling our child, "if you don't stop making mommy hurt, you will get a spanking when you're older." Immediately after he said that, I got a muscle spasm in my stomach. Every time TC mentions the word "spanking" that's what happens. I know it's not kicks because my baby is too tiny for all that but I think it's funny. I told him that our baby isn't stupid! It knows naughty words already! lol THAT and when I said, "give me a sign you're a boy," nothing happened. But when I said, "give me a sigh you're a girl," I got a muscle spasm in my stomach. Lol! It felt so weird! Also, TC told the doctor that I had a conversion disorder but that I hadn't had a seizure since I've been pregnant. He asked if it was some sort of hormone thing. The doctor told us that it could be because of my hormones suddenly being different but that my body just likes being pregnant where I don't have any stress. That was strange but ok! Apparently my body LOVESSSS being pregnant! Haha! :)
5. I go to the doctor for my 12 week ultrasound of the 16th of October (but really I'll be 13 weeks. She got her weeks confused but whatever lol). We get to find out whether it's a boy or a girl between November 6th-December 4th. My OB said that it just depended on how stubborn our little peanut is to show us what he/she is. As if it's anything like it's Daddy, it'll be stubborn as hell (it already is!) lol! TC and I are in a battle right now because we should be able to find out whether it's a boy or girl right near my birthday. Well he wants a boy and I want a girl AND Clemson and Carolina play ON my birthday and of course, he goes for Clemson and I go for Carolina lol. So it's a MAJOR battle! I told him that he could win the battle between Clemson and Carolina because they play every year but I can't have a baby girl every year. He said, "I can arrange that" HA HA HA! He thinks he's SOOOO funny! lol
6. We're having a gender reveal party. We're going to have the ultrasound tech put whether it's a boy or a girl on a card and seal it in an envelope. Then we're going to a bakery and getting them to make just a plain white cake and put a layer of pink or blue icing in it so when we cut the cake, it'll reveal the icing. I have everything planned out and I swear this party is going to be cooler than my baby shower! LMAO! We're also going to ask my friend Gretchen if she could take some pictures for us. We're going to get a big huge box and fill it with either blue or pink balloons and then we're going to open the box. Of course we'll already know but I thought it would cute. I think we may do the balloon thing before the party, that way TC and I will already know what it is and then do the cake thing for the family. TC was being stubborn and wanted to know right when the ultrasound tech did the ultrasound but I have begged him for weeks to just do this reveal thing with me but he was like, "well I'll just find out and you don't have to" BUT NOW! He has FINALLY gone with me with this idea. He doesn't know about the balloon thing yet but I thought it would be a good compromise because you know I'm just THAT great of a girlfriend that I make compromises! Tehe! :)
Ok I am done! Lol I am going to go listen to some music, pin some pins on Pinterest, and eat my peanut butter and banana rice cake sandwich! Oh yes! Be jealous! Lol! Hope everyone has a fantabulous day! ;D
